Rangeela is a 1995 Hindi-language movie, a product of the Bollywood film industry. It was directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and starred Jackie Shroff, Aamir Khan and Urmila Matondkar. The Film saw Urmila rising to fame overnight and Jackie Shroff got lot of appreaciation for his acting but it was Aamir Khan who delivered one of the finest performances in the history of Indian Cinema in a role of Tapori[Streetboy] and a lover who is not able to express his feeling to his beloved until climax.
A street-toughened orphan by the name of Munnaa {Aamir Khan) is befriended by some kind folks, whose effervescent daughter Mili (Urmila Matondkar) soon grows to be his best buddy. Both gravitate toward the Mumbai movie industry. While Mili finds occupation as a movie extra, Munna earns his livelihood selling movie tickets in the black market.Mili has ambitions of becoming an actress. Fortune glances her way, when she dances her way into a movie star’s attentions. This actor, Raj Kamal (Jackie Shroff), arranges for her to be auditioned for the heroine’s role in an upcoming movie. Mili’s shortcomings amount to distractions, but thanks in no small way to Munna and, of course, Raj, she lands the role.Then the story goes on with Raj Kamal falling for Mili, Munna falling for Mili, and Mili too busy in the making of the movie to notice any of this. Munna, feeling inferior, decides to leave Mili to Raj Kamal. The matter isn’t resolved yet though, as Mili gets a hang of the situation.
