Pestonjee (1988)

Phirojshah (Naseeruddin Shah) and Pestonjee (Anupam Kher) are two close friends. They attempt to do everything together, and they hope that they will marry the same day as well. Unfortunately, both go to see the same young lady, Jeroo (Shabana Azmi), and Pestonjee ends up getting married to Jeroo. Phirojshah has been stricken by Jeroo’s beauty and decides not to marry, and takes a transfer away from the couple. During the years, he keeps in touch with the couple by mail. While on a visit to the couple, he finds out that Pestonjee has a mistress, and Jeroo does not know of this. How will this effect Phirojshah’s friendship with Pestonjee? Does Phirojshah stand a chance with Jeroo?

Aankhen (1993)

Aankhen (English: The Eyes) is a 1993 Bollywood comedy directed by David Dhawan and starring Govinda in a double role and Chunky Pandey. it is a remake of the hit Kannada movie Kittu Puttu, starring Vishnuvardhan.Two wealthy buffoons, Munnu and Bunnu, get involved in a conspiracy to replace a Chief Minister with a lookalke by some corrupt government officials. Hu Tu Tu (1999)

Hu Tu Tu is a 1999 Hindi drama directed by Gulzar. Tabu received a 2000 Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress for this movie.Panna is the only daughter of politician Maltidevi. Panna is very critical of her mother, when she decides to separate from her dad, and asked Chief Minister Sawantrao Gadre to move in with them, for political reasons. Sawantrao has been using Maltidevi to win his election, which he does.

Heer Ranjha (1992)

A newer version of the popular love story of Heer (Sridevi) and Deedho (Anil Kapoor), who calls himself Ranjha, after leaving his house, and living incognito in Heer’s village as a labourer in her father’s (Shammi Kapoor) house. Heer and Deedho were childhood sweethearts, separated because of family animosities, which have grown over the years, and kept on the boil by Kaheda (Anupam Kher), who leg was irreparabily fractured by Deedho’s family and friends. “Rabh ne banaya tujhe mere liye mujhe tere liye…” is not only hummable, but a sound for sore ears. See this movie again, may not be good as the older version of Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh, but has it’s good points.

Fiza (2000)

Fiza is a 2000 Indian film written and directed by Khalid Mohammed. The film stars Karisma Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Jaya Bachchan. Although the film failed at the box office, it was well acclaimed by critics. Originally Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan were supposed to have cameo appearances, but their scenes were removed due to considerations about the length of the running time.
