Malaamal Weekly is a 2006 Bollywood comedy film starring Paresh Rawal and Om Puri and written and directed by Priyadarshan. The plot of the movie is taken from Waking Ned Devine.The film was rated poorly by most reviewers, but was a surprise hit among cinema-goers.Tagline: Kiski lottery lag gayi? (Who has won the lottery?)Laholi is a small village in India whose inhabitants are poor, simple-minded, and are used to their lives being controlled by the dictatorial Landlord, Thakurain, and her brother, Baj Bahadur. Although Lilaram is the one with the highest educational qualifications, he is unable to secure any job. He decides to make a living selling lottery tickets, especially the Delhi-based Malamaal Weekly, but is barely able to make ends meet. Then one day he finds out that one of his lottery tickets is a winner.

Bhagam Bhag (2006)

Bhagam Bhag is a 2006 Bollywood film starring Akshay Kumar and Govinda. It is the first time the two are in a film together. The movie also stars Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan and Paresh Rawal. It is directed by Priyadarshan. Shooting took place in Oxford, United Kingdom in July-August 2006, filming at several University of Oxford landmarks. It released on December 22, 2006.

Zinda (2006)

Zinda is a 2006 Bollywood film, starring Sanjay Dutt, John Abraham,and Lara Dutta. Zinda was directed by Sanjay Gupta, who previously directed Sanjay Dutt in the 2004 film Musafir. The writing credits for this film were shared between Sanjay Gupta and Suresh Nair. The music for the film was composed by the popular Bollywood music director duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani (as Vishal-Shekhar). Background music was composed by Salil Chowdhury, son of Sri Salil Chowdhury. The film was released in Indian cinema theatres on January 12, 2006.

Dor (2006)

Dor is a 2006 Indian film drama, written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and featured Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag and Shreyas Talpade as the lead actors. The film, which is a remake of the award-winning.Malayalam film, Perumazhakkalam (2004), was well received by the critics after its release on September 22, 2006. Dor, which also released on a DVD, did not garner much at the box-office.The film, which was produced by Elahe Hiptoola, had cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee and editing by Sanjib Datta. For the film that had Hindi as the predominant language with a sporadic use of Urdu, Salim-Sulaiman composed the background score for the film.

Tom Dick & Harry is a Bollywood comedy film released on May 12, 2006. It had music by Himesh Reshammiya. The sequel titled “Tom, Dick and Harry Rock Again” is currently in production, directed by Rahul Kapoor and starring Nisha Rawal, also featuring the song “Tere Pyar Mein” by Mika Singh produced by Vikas Kohli at FatLabs studio.This is a comedy with three physically impaired people: Tom (Jaiyant - deaf), Dick (Deepak - blind), and Harry (Debraj - dumb or mute).

Jaaneman (2006)

Jaan-E-Mann is a 2006 Bollywood film starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Shirish Kunder and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film re-unites Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar post the success of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). This was Shirish Kunder’s first film as a director. He also edited and wrote the dialogues and screenplay.Anupam Kher is playing a role of a dwarf for the first time in his career. Filming started in New York City on September 1, 2005 and then moved to Mumbai. The male leads were written for Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan, however the latter declined the role of Agastya Rao so Akshay Kumar was roped in.
