Prem Rog is 1982 romantic Bollywood film directed by Raj Kapoor. Prem Rog literally means “love sick”. The film tells the story of a man’s love towards a woman who is a widow and of a higher status.Orphaned at a very young age and adopted by his uncle, a Poojari, and aunt, Premvati, Devdhar lives a poor lifestyle with them and their daughter, Radha. Poojari works for Bade Thakur and his family and prepares astrological charts and organizes prayers, and asks him for financial assistance so that Devdhar can go to Bombay and study, which is approved.

Shalimar (1978)

Shalimar is a 1978 Hindi film. Its English version known as Raiders of Shalimar was released in USA. The movie starred Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Prem Nath, Aruna Irani, Shammi Kapoor, Sir Rex Harrison, and American actors John Saxon and Sylvia Miles in supporting roles. Jayamalini does a dance number in the film. This was the last time that Mohammed Rafi’s voice was picturized on Shammi Kapoor.The film flopped at the box office.

Andaz (1971)

Andaz is a 1971 Hindi romantic movie starring Shammi Kapoor, Hema Malini and Rajesh Khanna. The film was directed by Ramesh Sippy.This film tells the story of a widow Sheetal (Hema Malini) who is left devastated after the death of her husband Raj (Rajesh Khanna). She is left with one child to look after and teaches in a school and one of her students is the daughter of the widower Ravi (Shammi Kapoor).The children become instrumental in getting the single parents to meet and fall in love.

Desh Premee (1982)

Desh Premee (English translation The Patriot) is a 1982 Hindi film directed by Manmohan Desai. This film is the fifth collaboration between director Manmohan Desai and Amitabh Bachchan.Master Dinanth is a freedom fighter and led the war against the British in 1942 and eventually won the independence in 1947. But after independence, the people’s love for their country seems to be diminishing and they are too busy betraying it like rich businessman Thakur Pratab Singh.

Heer Ranjha (1992)

A newer version of the popular love story of Heer (Sridevi) and Deedho (Anil Kapoor), who calls himself Ranjha, after leaving his house, and living incognito in Heer’s village as a labourer in her father’s (Shammi Kapoor) house. Heer and Deedho were childhood sweethearts, separated because of family animosities, which have grown over the years, and kept on the boil by Kaheda (Anupam Kher), who leg was irreparabily fractured by Deedho’s family and friends. “Rabh ne banaya tujhe mere liye mujhe tere liye…” is not only hummable, but a sound for sore ears. See this movie again, may not be good as the older version of Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh, but has it’s good points.

One day dacoits attack his farmhouse with a view of stealing the stallions, but Maharaj fights them, killing the son of the leader of the dacoits, Maan Singh.

Junglee (1961)

Junglee is a 1961 Indian Hindi movie produced and directed by Subodh Mukherjee. Junglee means “Wild” or “ill mannered” in Hindi. The music is by Shankar Jaikishan and the lyrics by Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri. The film stars Shammi Kapoor, Lalita Pawar, Shashikala and Asit Sen. Saira Banu, in her debut film, earned a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress and became a star.
